The Passivhaus process requires both a designer and a certifier to meet certification requirements. Alex has worked with a number of Passivhaus Designers, as well as budding Architects and Building Designers wanting to work with the Passivhaus standard and building physics generally. Alex's approach is objective and fun! He works with both DesignPH and the PHPP, along with a self-developed tool, RePHorter for export of graphs and tables into a legible format for Australian eyes.
When working with the Passivhaus process, the calculations are holistic and give an accurate overview of expected conditions when entered properly. The process is very informative and assists to optimise a thermal envelope effectively.
